May 28, 2008:  Media Travel Expert Stephanie Abrams Implementing“Keep Traveling” Segments on Her Two National Radio Shows and Calls for Travel Industry to Provide Incentives .

Travel media expert Stephanie Abrams announced plans today to create a segment on her two nationally syndicated radio shows and her award-winning website, www.sabrams.com, to begin May 31st and June 1st on Traveling Feet and Travel WITH Stephanie Abrams, respectively, where value-added incentives provided by tourist boards, hotels and resorts, car rental companies, railroads, cruise lines and other travel industry suppliers will be featured.

According to Abrams, “With the combination of news on raging fires, earthquakes, tornadoes, forecasts of a difficult hurricane season, coupled with high fuel costs, pre-election jitters, and predictions of economic gloom, the one thing the travel industry doesn't need is a new era of doomsayers convincing potential travelers that the best course is to stay home. During my professional life in the travel industry, I played a key role in continuing travel sales growth throughout the terrorism in Europe in 1985, the Gulf War and recession of the early 90's, and more recent challenges the industry has had to face. Travelers need to focus on what can be done, where they can go, what they can do that fits their lifestyle needs and their budget. In these stressful times, traveling, whether for business or pleasure, is essential for business development and providing the memorable experiences for individuals and families that serve as reminders of the value of living. Now, more than ever, the traveling public needs to understand that they can continue with their travel plans. My radio shows, website and electronic newsletter are going to play a contributing role in showing travelers that the world is still in their reach,” Abrams states.

Abrams invites travel industry suppliers, convention and visitors bureaus and tourist boards, domestic and international, to submit incentives, value-added deals, and packages aimed at motivating passengers to get up and go. To send deals for consideration to be featured, suppliers are directed to go to Abrams' award-winning website, www.sabrams.com, and click on the “Travel Deals” link on the site's main navigation bar; then click on the “Submit” button to send your company's offering.

Abrams notes that key executives of some of the companies/destinations whose deals are featured in the “Keep Traveling” broadcast segments may be invited to be interviewed on Abrams' radio shows. Additionally, selected deals will be featured in their Travelers' 411 Newsletter. “We are going all out to give our listeners and web visitors the kind of information that balances the onslaught of media negativity by encouraging them to enrich, enhance, and uplift their lives with travel experiences that inspire them while showing them that they can't afford to stay home,” Abrams notes. “My broadcast and web teams are poised to undertake what we hope will be a deluge of unique offerings to stimulate 2008 travel. We are going to focus on informing people on how they can get more for their travel investment and average expenses to offset anticipated extra costs and fees. We'll be focusing on value enhancement,” Abrams concludes.
