ETRAVNET.COM, INC INTRODUCES REZCONNECT TECHNOLOGY TO INDEPENDENT HOTELS.

(September 21, 2000): ReZconnect, the patent-pending technology of eTravnet.com, Inc. (Nasdaq[otcbb]: ETVT), is positioned for implementation in the lodging industry, according to Stephanie Abrams, Executive Vice President. “Our unique patent-pending technology is designed to connect the tech-savvy web-user with independent lodgings globally that do not have sophisticated computerized room reservation systems making them almost impossible for the traveler or travel agent to book them efficiently,” she states.

The target lodgings include mansions and stately homes, independent hotels, historic inns, unique accommodations and “Bed and Breakfast” lodgings. To launch the ReZconnect product, eTravnet.com has purchased Inn & Travel, a company with a database of over 20,000 “tried and true B&B Inns,” according to Marie Brindza, a leading authority in the Bed & Breakfast industry.

Inn & Travel’s database was acquired in a cash and stock transaction, according to Michael Brent, President and CEO of eTravnet.com. “The excitement of our technology lies in the simplicity of being able to do business with hoteliers without making them invest in equipment or change the way they do business,” Brent states.

Etravnet’s business strategy calls for the B&B database to be available for its global chain of franchised travel agencies to book directly on behalf of their clients and for travelers to book directly on travel agents’ websites and other portals.

Abrams announced that the company has forged a strategic relationship with TravelingAmerica.com, a specialized tour operator focused on unique upscale and historic accommodations. “We are bursting with enthusiasm over the Rezconnect technology,” states Maree Forbes, TravelingAmerica’s CEO. “We have almost 5000 charming lodgings and landmark – quality accommodations that are inspected to meet our standards for our tour packages. Most of these properties present a challenge to book efficiently. Rezconnect presents the perfect solution,” Forbes states.

Rezconnect’s net-to-phone-to net capability lets the hotel reservationist hear the reservation information the web user inputs and allows the hotel to accept the reservation by pressing numbers on the telephone keypad. Within seconds, the web user receives confirmation on-line.

“It is clear that ReZconnect fills a unique void in the travel industry for agents, tour operators, and travelers by providing a mechanism to link the web user with hoteliers where the technology for an interactive booking is otherwise not present,” Abrams concludes.
