Howard Hastings, CEO, Hastings Hotels of Northern Ireland, and his wife, Philippa, came to NYC and were celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary and both of their 40th birthdays. Iarranged for their hotel stay and I took them to lunch at Arthur's Landing in Weehawken, NJ, at Port Imperial. We took the Imperator Ferry across from West 38th Street at the Hudson River in NYC. You get one of the best views of the NYC skyline from the marina and inside Arthur's Landing Restaurant, a view you can't see when you're on the NYC side of the Hudson River. The food is excellent at Arthur's Landing, the view is spectacular from inside the restaurant, whose glass walls surround the diningroom, and if you park your car in the lot on the NJ side, take the ferry to NYC and back, which is a 5 minute trip, and stop into Arthur's Landing for a bite, they validate your parking ticket! Going on the ferry is a delightful experience by itself and provides the opportunity for visitors to capture great photos while on the Hudson and from the New Jersey shore.
