Winston Churchill was the first cousin of Sir John Leslie, current patriarch of Castle Leslie. Sir John's mother and Winston Churchill's mother were sisters. In the far right corner of the photo is a grand piano which was often played by Winston's mother, Lady Jenny Leslie Churchill, Sir John's mother, and Jan Ignacy Paderewski, who was a good friend of Lady Jenny. When you visit Castle Leslie, you can sit at this piano and have the privilege of playing an instument often played by Paderewski.ireland002_022.jpg
