
Massachusetts' Berkshire County is home to fantastic concert venues and art museums. The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, MA was recently fully renovated. Part of the $20 million investment included restoring a 100 year old concert piano. The piano's inaugural performance was played by composer Marvin Hamlisch. Hamilsch's film scores have been nominated for Academy Awards but he has consistently lost to famed composer and conductor, John Williams. Williams will conduct the Boston Pops this summer at Tanglewood, their summer home. Film night at Tanglewood is July 18th, 2009.
