Sisters of Mercy's Annual Evening of Mercy To Honor Nationally Syndicated Radio Show Travel Expert Stephanie Abrams at NYC's Yale Club in May, 2008

Sister Camille D'Arienzo and  Scott Herman,  VP of  CBS radio affiliates, co-chairs of the Mercy Development Advisory Board of the Mid-Atlantic community of the Sisters of Mercy, announced today that one of this year's outstanding honorees is Stephanie Abrams, well know travel guru and host of the nationally syndicated radio travel talk shows, Traveling Feet and Travel WITH Stephanie Abrams and TV's JetSet411.  Sister Camille states that, “Stephanie Abrams has been selected for reasons beyond her undeniable competence and professional expertise which have been recognized by her inclusion as a Project Big Apple  Pearl Honoree for her signature business legacy, by Travel Agent Magazine's list of the ‘100 Most Powerful Women in Travel,' the multiple awards won by her official website, www.sabrams.com, her recognition by Ireland's Saint Patrick Centre as an Honorary Friend of St. Patrick, and is further testified by her membership on allied boards of directors.  According to Sister Camille D'Arienzo, “The Sisters of Mercy Mid-Atlantic Community will recognize Abrams for her contributions to society in the spirit of mercy  which is evident in her concern for peace, justice and the needs of poor people, especially women and children. The formal recognition will take place at the Sisters of Mercy's annual event, An Evening of Mercy, to be held at the Yale Club in New York City on Wednesday, May 14, 2008.

The Sisters of Mercy were founded by Catherine McAuley in Ireland in 1831 to serve the poor, sick and uneducated.  They number about 10,000 worldwide.
