‘Tis the Season to Support the
Community at the Berkshire Crowne Plaza Hotel in Pittsfield,
Massachusetts with the Introduction of its ‘Give Back’
Program
In keeping with its philosophy of strong
community support, the Berkshire Crowne Plaza Hotel, in Pittsfield,
in the heart of the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts,
announced the implementation of its ‘Give Back’
program, designed to provide a donation source for bona fide
charitable and non-profit organizations. Austin Snow, the Berkshire
Crowne’s General Manager, explains that, “there
are so many worthy organizations whose future growth and continued
services, whether schools, museums, religious organizations,
cultural venues, depend on the revenue streams that come from
donations. In the Berkshires, we are blessed with a wide array
of such organizations and we have always done our best to be
supportive. Our ‘Give Back’ program is our special
thank you to all those organizations who serve others through
their good works.”
The Give Back program is designed to donate
5% of all room night purchases and all group catering functions,
exclusive of taxes, for new reservations and functions reserved
now through March 31, 2008. Snow explains that, “A family’s
next celebration, wedding reception, reunion, birthday celebration,
Bar or Bat Mitzvah or a company’s sales meeting, conference,
convention, or event planned at the Berkshire Crowne Plaza Hotel,
can generate a donation of 5% of the cost of their event and
guest room nights for their favorite charitable organization.
That can result in substantial donations for a variety of charities
which will give all of us at the Berkshire Crowne the greatest
joy and so many reasons to start the New Year with great optimism
for the good works of so many organizations,” Snow concludes.
Nationally syndicated radio show travel expert
Stephanie Abrams states, “The Berkshire Crowne’s
ideal location, its proximity to Boston and NYC, makes this
wonderland the perfect place for family events and corporate
functions. I’d encourage companies with matching charitable
donation programs to find ways to work with the Berkshire Crowne
to maximize their commitment to philanthropy.”
Organizations wishing to register with the
Berkshire Crowne Plaza should contact the hotel directly. Guests
planning overnight stays and events at the hotel can register
their charitable organization as well. Donations will be sent
to the appropriate non-profit organizations thirty days after
guest stays and events due to processing time.
To participate in the Berkshire Crowne’s Give Back program,
reservations for rooms and events must be made by March 31,
2008 for use now through December 31, 2008. This program will
be evaluated in the second quarter to determine its potential
for continuation or reintroduction at a later time.
“Organizations that get the word
out to their members will optimize and maximize the potential
of the donation you will receive. We look forward to playing
a role in supporting many worthwhile organizations,” Snow
concludes.
