BOSTON, Aug. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Stephanie Abrams, host of the nationally syndicated, weekly travel show, "Travel WITH Stephanie Abrams!" on the Business TalkRadio(tm) Network, will be honored at the third annual Project Legacy Big Apple Experience Event at which, Project Legacy "Celebrates and recognizes outstanding women in business for their can-do spirit, leadership and success on local, regional, and national levels, and is proud to announce that Stephanie Abrams will receive her award as one of the distinguished 2005 Pearl Honorees," according to Project Legacy founder, Toby Nadler. The event will take place in Westchester County, New York, on Thursday and Friday September 29- 30, 2005.

"The 'Pearls,'" Nadler continues, "serving as role models and mentors, are influential and talented women from virtually every business sector and are recognized for their leadership, inspiration, successful strategies and signature business legacy. Stephanie Abrams has been selected as the only Project Legacy Pearl Honoree in the travel industry throughout the United States."

Asked why she believes she has been chosen for this special award, Abrams responds, "I have lived by the philosophy that 'Failure is not an option,' and believe that, through travel, one can be enriched, inspired, uplifted and enlightened in very practical ways that result in life-directing focus. Travel is the intersection of 'today and history', which stimulates the creativity to meet the needs of tomorrow. I believe that human potential can be reached through tourism," Abrams states.

Abrams believes that tourism has life-altering positive effects. Her "Travel Fairy Godmother(sm)," persona provides unique travel experiences to selected individuals, hoping that travel will enrich, enhance, uplift and inspire their lives. "I'm thrilled to be able to play this positive role by providing travel opportunities which broaden horizons and uplift spirits," Abrams explains.

Some Abrams' Travel Fairy Godmother awards include: a 12 day trip for 12 homeless children from Tucson and their chaperones to experience the beaches, ocean, attractions and beauty of California for the first time; a 7 night stay at castles in Ireland for a U.S. Army vet returning from Afghanistan and 4 weeks at the Maine Teen Camp during July-August 2005 for 3 homeless teens from Arizona.

Abrams will be honored as a Pearl Honoree along with other leading women in business, including Kathy Dwyer, Past President of Revlon and founder, Skinklinic; Carol Evans, President and CEO of Working Mother Media; and General Manager, Small Business, Microsoft, Cynthia Bates.
