The New York Times Travel Show Announces Trade Seminars

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 27, 2005--The New York Times Travel Show, presented by American Express, announced today its schedule of seminars for travel professionals who are attending the show. The trade conference, to be held March 4, will consist of education and product seminars, a luncheon with Loews Hotels Chairman and CEO Jonathan Tisch as the keynote speaker, and access to the nearly 500 show exhibitors. For travel agents, tourism suppliers and travel associations, this trade day will focus on the evolving marketplace and new approaches to doing business. The New York Times Travel Show and trade seminars will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

The conference is open to all travel industry professionals. The registration fee to attend this one-day program is $49, and there are discounts available for readers of Travel Agent magazine, and other association members. The New York Times Travel Show 2005 will accommodate nearly 500 exhibitors who focus on travel destinations and packages, as well as tour operators and cruise lines. There are several pavilions on the show floor that focus on different regions of the world including Africa, Asia, Australia/South Pacific, the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico/Central America and South America.

American Express will return as presenting sponsor for the 2005 show. Supporting sponsors include Amtrak, Carnival Cruise Lines and Islands of the Bahamas. Sandals Beaches & Resorts and Washington, D.C. Convention and Tourism Corporation are contributing sponsors of the show and Outside Magazine is the media sponsor.
