The
Westin Casuarina defines stress-free.
Centrally located on Seven Mile Beach on the Grand Cayman Island,
you’ll find a treasure called the Westin Casuarina. One
of the benefits of this resort is that 100% of the rooms are on
the side of the street where the beach is located. That might
seem strange to note except for the reality that some of the top
brand hotels on Grand Cayman are built with some of their facilities
and guest rooms are on the beach side of the road and the rest
are across the street! That means you don’t have a sea view
and you have to cross the road to walk to the beach if you are
across the road! For those looking for that stress-free beachcomber
feeling, the Westin is positioned to offer that to every guest.
And, while most of the rooms at the Westin have sea views with
terraces, some deluxe ocean front rooms have doors that open onto
the beach directly from the bedroom.
The Westin Casuarina’s Romance
Director orchestrates everything from sunset dinners
for 2 on the beach to weddings on the beach complete with a full
entourage of guests accompanying them. All of the stress related
to wedding arrangements is placed squarely on the shoulders of
the Westin Casuarina’s Events Staff which does a magnificent
job of taking care of every detail. The bride, groom and their
families truly show up as guests. Those who have planned a wedding
can appreciate the value of that scenario!
Unlike other destinations, the Caymanian Government makes it
easy for wedding couples to arrive as late as the date of their
wedding if they are getting married on a business day of the week.
On any business day, the couple can get their wedding license
and be married the same day with no waiting period.
The Hibiscus Spa, located in its
own tranquil facility, employs only certified massage therapists,
has a staff of 20, offers a full range of treatments, couples
treatment rooms, and everything from manicures and facials to
deep muscle massages and more.
If you’re traveling with children, your ultimate relaxation
will come from signing your young family members into the Westin
Casuarina’s Kids Club. That’ll
give you parents peace of mind to enjoy a romp in the crystal
clear aqua waters, visit the spa, scuba or snorkel, or nap poolside
or relax on the beach. In addition to a variety of activities
offered at the Kids Club, the children are taken on outings to
the Cayman Island Butterfly Farm, the Turtle Farm and for beach
activities.
While there are over 300 restaurants
on Grand Cayman, you might never want to adventure out of the
Westin Casuarina! Try the Casa Havana which you’ll find
beachfront on the grounds of the resort. You’ll need a reservation
so plan ahead to dine in this sophisticated dining room whose
candlelit ambiance resembles an elegant room in a grand hacienda.
The menu and wine cellar offer something for every taste served
by a professional, international wait staff.
For more informal dining, try Ferdinand’s where you’ll
choose from air conditioned indoor dining or caressed-by-the-sea-breeze
dining on the patio. The menu ranges from light fare to pasta
and sirloin steaks with lots of seafood and salad options. As
one guest said who was leaving Ferdinand’s, “The food
here is great!” No argument there!
